Rainforest Alliance Certificates

Rainforest Alliance certification that is headquartered in New York, U.S.A. is today one of the most prestigious and sought after certification programs in plantations across the world. The program works across more than seventy countries worldwide.

The Rainforest Alliance's sustainable agriculture program oversees the certification of farms that produce tropical crops, including coffee, bananas, cocoa, oranges, cut flowers, ferns, and tea. To obtain certification, farms must meet a set of stringent environmental and social standards, including agrochemical reduction, ecosystem conservation, waste management, wildlife protection, water conservation, soil management and conservation and worker health and safety.

Craigmore Plantations (India) Private Limited got certified by Rainforest Alliance in January 2011 and holds one of the highest scores achieved by any plantation company worldwide for its compliance levels. Not resting on its laurels, the company today continues with its commitment to the standards of the Rainforest Alliance and in line with the overall standards and policies of the company and several steps are taken on an ongoing basis to march ahead on the path the company has embarked upon;

  • to make Sustainable Cultivation and production of tea with adequate environmental safeguards a way of life and
  • to be known as the company with the highest ethical and welfare standards for all its employees and stakeholders
